Captured on camera: At 5:15 p.m., an illegal immigrant steals a tow truck from the Maryland State Highway Administration and sends law enforcement on a frantic pursuit from Prince George’s to Montgomery County.
The perpetrator has been identified as Nicaraguan Cesar Flavio Lanuza. According to Fox 5 DC, Lanuza led police on an hour-long pursuit during which he struck many vehicles before coming to a halt in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Lanuza is seen in the video swerving around cars, navigating electrical lines, and passing across fields.
The stolen car struck police cruisers close to southbound Route 29 at Prelude Drive during the pursuit.
He pulled over in a neighborhood at approximately 6:30 p.m. and was apprehended. He is still being held. A detainer has been issued by federal authorities for his transportation to the Montgomery County jail facility.
