Missouri residents are voicing outrage after a Venezuelan illegal immigrant accused of causing the death of a 12-year-old boy was released from jail following a court decision to lower her bond. The suspect, Endrina Bracho, had been held on a $500,000 cash-only bond but was granted release by Circuit Judge Bruce Hilton, sparking widespread condemnation.
Bracho, whose actions allegedly led to the December 2023 car crash that killed Travis Wolfe, had been in jail since March 2024. The crash also injured several others, including her own children. Despite the severity of the charges—first-degree involuntary manslaughter, second-degree assault, and two counts of first-degree child endangerment—Judge Hilton decided to modify the bond terms, allowing Bracho to leave jail without paying cash.
