During a weekend appearance on local television, Representative Ilhan Omar claimed her son was stopped by federal immigration agents after a routine shopping trip.
She told viewers that fear of ICE was so intense that her son now carries his passport everywhere he goes.
“Yesterday, after he made a stop at Target, he did get pulled over by ICE agents, and once he was able to produce his passport ID, they did let him go,” Omar told WCCO Sunday Morning.¹
