Jessica Watkins, a U.S. Army veteran and former political prisoner, has finally been released after serving four years in prison. Watkins, a member of the Oath Keepers, was arrested in January 2021 following the events of January 6, where she entered the Capitol, assisted police, and exited within 23 minutes. Despite this, she was hit with severe charges and subjected to shocking treatment while incarcerated.
During her time in prison, Watkins endured what she describes as torture. Guards stripped her naked and left her confined in a cell with 24-hour lighting for four days. She also suffered physical abuse at the hands of prison staff.

Convicted in November of charges she maintains were fabricated, Watkins was denied the right to cross-examine government informants who testified against her. A D.C. judge, aligned with the corrupt justice system, ensured Watkins and her co-defendants were silenced in the courtroom.
