Emhoff also expressed pride in openly embracing his faith throughout his time in office. “I feel and felt very accountable, being the first Jewish person in this role. The other thing that I did, with your help, was to live my faith — which is different from hers, but with her support — openly and proudly, joyfully and without fear.”
