Former Secretary of State and twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made a bold prediction during a recent appearance on the Firing Line Show with Margaret Hoover. In a discussion that touched on political forecasting, Clinton confidently predicted that an “October surprise” would disrupt the 2024 election, particularly targeting Vice President Kamala Harris. And, of course, Clinton didn’t miss the chance to blame the pro-Trump media and alleged Russian influence for what she says is coming.
Margaret Hoover, the show’s host, set the tone of the conversation by comparing Clinton to Cassandra, the mythical Greek figure cursed with the ability to foresee the future, only for her warnings to go unheeded. Hoover asked Clinton to don her “Cassandra hat” and share what she foresaw happening in the near future that Americans should be paying more attention to.

“Putting that Cassandra hat on for the moment, but we’re listening, what is something you see happening in the near future that we should be taking more seriously?” Hoover asked Clinton.
