A man accused of storming Vice President JD Vance’s Cincinnati-area property while armed with a hammer has pleaded guilty to federal charges stemming from the January incident.
William D. DeFoor, 26, admitted guilt to charges involving physical violence against government officials and the willful destruction of United States property, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio.
The case drew national attention earlier this year after DeFoor allegedly entered the area surrounding Vance’s Ohio residence during the early morning hours of January 5.
