A routine federal operation to enforce immigration laws at two California cannabis farms spiraled into chaos Thursday, when radical protesters clashed with ICE agents and at least one activist opened fire on law enforcement. In a bizarre twist, a sitting Democratic congressman tried to shove his way through a police barricade and had to be physically turned back.
Shots Fired Amid ICE Operation
Video captured by KABC-TV shows a scene straight out of a war zone: a man sprints away from federal officers while squeezing off shots from a handgun, aiming back toward ICE agents pursuing him. Fortunately, no injuries were reported despite the gunfire. This violent incident marks the third time in a single week that ICE personnel have come under fire from extremists linked to pro-illegal immigration causes.
