One of the most outrageous examples came to light during a recent Cabinet meeting. There, Zeldin detailed how a non-governmental organization tied to Stacey Abrams went from receiving $100 in 2023 to a jaw-dropping $2 billion in 2024. That’s not a typo—$100 to $2,000,000,000 in just one year.
Zeldin was blunt about it: “The Stacey Abrams-connected organization received $100 in 2023” but “got $2 billion in 2024.” The sheer scale of this payout raised immediate red flags, and rightfully so.
But it gets worse. That massive pile of cash wasn’t spent on cleaning up polluted areas or planting trees. It was funneled directly into the hands of Democrat operatives pulling six-figure salaries, all courtesy of the American taxpayer.
Zeldin laid out the numbers: this Abrams-connected group was suddenly “paying a CEO $800,000, a COO $450,000” and had “22 people making over $150,000.” The kicker? They didn’t even know how to make a budget before receiving the money.
You read that right. They got $2 billion before they had the basic training on how to manage it. That’s not green policy—it’s green robbery.
What Zeldin exposed wasn’t a mere accounting error—it was a well-oiled machine designed to disguise political payoffs as environmental grants. He explained how the cash was routed: “money goes through pass-throughs, through other pass-throughs, through other pass-throughs” until “we lose oversight over it.”
The money trail, as Zeldin revealed, ultimately led to “former Biden officials,” “former Obama officials,” and prominent “Democratic donors.” This wasn’t about the environment—it was a taxpayer-funded rewards system for Democrat loyalists.
And if that wasn’t insulting enough, Zeldin revealed that $50 million was handed to a group that claimed, “climate justice runs through a free Palestine.” That’s right—Biden’s EPA sent climate cash to anti-Israel radicals.
The electric vehicle component of the scam also came under fire. Zeldin warned that “hundreds of thousands of dollars” were being wasted per EV. That means while Americans struggle to pay for gas and groceries, their tax dollars were being flushed down the drain to subsidize expensive vehicles and padded payrolls.
Fortunately, the Trump administration is charting a different course. Zeldin made it crystal clear: they’re not interested in playing the same dirty game. “We don’t want to take money from a left-wing NGO and give it to a right-wing NGO,” he said. Instead, they want to “give it back to the taxpayer.”
That’s what Americans voted for—a government that serves them, not special interests. Zeldin emphasized that the American people elected Trump because they wanted “good stewards of American tax dollars without any apology or regret.”
Under the Trump EPA, there’s a real focus on practical environmental progress—not political theater. Zeldin explained that their policy is built on growing the economy while responsibly protecting the environment. They’re investing in “more baseload power in this country” instead of bankrolling climate activists.
Congress has now equipped the Trump administration with the legal authority to claw back billions in misused funds. Zeldin didn’t hide the political fallout, stating that it might be “a bad day for Stacey Abrams” and “a bad day for all those well-connected Democrats getting paid off.”
But for the everyday American taxpayer, it’s a win. For once, the people footing the bill are finally seeing some justice.
The truth is this: the so-called “Green New Deal” was never really about saving the planet. It was always about funneling cash to Democrat donors and leftist activists under the cover of climate action.
Thanks to Lee Zeldin and the leadership of President Trump, that corrupt scheme is being exposed and dismantled. Americans deserve an EPA that serves the public—not a political machine hiding behind green slogans.
