GOP Rep. CROSSES THE LINE — Trump World Reacts Fast

Rep. Rich McCormick is facing intense backlash from conservative voters after siding with Democrats on a controversial immigration measure involving Haiti. The Georgia Republican’s vote has ignited outrage across social media, with critics accusing him of undermining core America First principles tied to border enforcement and immigration control.

At the center of the controversy is Temporary Protected Status, commonly known as TPS. The program allows foreign nationals already inside the United States to remain and work legally if their home countries are deemed unsafe due to war, disasters, or extreme instability. While originally designed as a short-term solution, critics argue it has evolved into something far more permanent.

McCormick, however, defended his vote in strong moral terms. Writing on X, he stated: “I voted to extend TPS for Haitians because I cannot, in good conscience, send people who were lawfully granted protection here, followed our laws, and built lives under our rules back to rape, murder, and chaos in a lawless Haiti. This is completely separate from amnesty or illegal immigration. Conflating the two is dangerous.”

That explanation did little to calm the storm.
