GOP Cheers as Trump Nominates Gaetz for AG!

In a bold move shaking up the political landscape, former President Donald Trump has officially nominated Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz for the role of U.S. Attorney General. Trump, who has long been a vocal critic of the Justice Department, expressed high confidence in Gaetz, a staunch ally and one of Congress’s most combative Republicans.

“It is my Great Honor to announce that Congressman Matt Gaetz, of Florida, is hereby nominated to be The Attorney General of the United States,” Trump declared Wednesday. “Matt is a deeply gifted and tenacious attorney, trained at the William & Mary College of Law, who has distinguished himself in Congress through his focus on achieving desperately needed reform at the Department of Justice.”

Trump highlighted Gaetz’s unwavering stance on what he calls the “Weaponization” of the Justice Department, saying Gaetz is uniquely positioned to restore public trust in an agency many Americans now view with suspicion. Trump praised Gaetz’s contributions on the House Judiciary Committee, which has been at the forefront of examining federal agencies, including the DOJ. Citing Gaetz’s “focus on achieving desperately needed reform,” Trump noted that the Congressman has been instrumental in tackling what Trump describes as a “partisan” bias within the Justice Department.
