George Clooney PANICS After Trump Calls Him Out

That decision did not go unnoticed by President Trump.

On New Year’s Eve, Trump took to Truth Social to unleash a blistering critique of Clooney, calling out what many conservatives see as blatant hypocrisy from Hollywood elites who bash America while benefiting from its success.

“Good News! George and Amal Clooney, two of the worst political prognosticators of all time, have officially become citizens of France which is, sadly, in the midst of a major crime problem because of their absolutely horrendous handling of immigration, much like we had under Sleepy Joe Biden,” Trump wrote.

The president continued by reminding readers of Clooney’s failed political instincts during the last election cycle.

“Remember when Clooney, after the now infamous debate, dumped Joe during a fundraiser, only to go onto the side of another stellar candidate, Jamala(K!), who is now fighting it out with the worst governor in the Country, including Tim Waltz, Gavin Newscum, for who is going to lead the Democrats to their future defeat,” Trump added.

Trump did not stop there. He also took aim at Clooney’s acting career, arguing that his political grandstanding earned him more attention than his film work ever did.

“Clooney got more publicity for politics than he did for his very few, and totally mediocre, movies. He wasn’t a movie star at all, he was just an average guy who complained, constantly, about common sense in politics.”

The remarks quickly went viral, sparking reactions across social media and legacy media outlets. But Clooney’s response may have raised even more eyebrows than Trump’s attack.

According to a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Clooney attempted to brush off the criticism by echoing Trump’s most famous campaign slogan.

“I totally agree with the current president,” Clooney said. “We have to make America great again.”

“We’ll start in November.”

The statement left many Americans confused. Clooney has openly aligned himself with progressive causes for years and recently chose to obtain citizenship in another country. Yet he now appears eager to comment on America’s political future while living under a different flag.

Critics quickly questioned whether Clooney should be more focused on French politics rather than American elections. France faces its own major political battles, including a presidential election scheduled for 2027. With rising crime, immigration unrest, and economic pressures mounting across Europe, some wondered why Clooney felt compelled to weigh in on U.S. leadership at all.

For conservatives, the episode underscores a familiar pattern. Wealthy celebrities enjoy the freedoms and opportunities America provides, criticize the nation relentlessly, and then quietly relocate when policies or public opinion no longer suit them.

President Trump’s blunt response resonated with millions of voters who are tired of being lectured by celebrities who no longer share their daily struggles or even their country.

As the 2026 political landscape begins to take shape, the clash between Trump and Clooney serves as a reminder of the widening gap between elite political commentators and the Americans they claim to represent.
