Governor of Texas Greg Abbott has joined the growing number of prominent people who support former President Donald Trump by endorsing him.
Abbott’s Sunday support of Trump was expected. Abbott was reportedly going to give the former president his support during a speech close to the southern border. Indeed, those rumors came to pass, as Abbott formally endorsed Trump at the Edinburg gathering.

“We need a president who’s going to secure the border. We need a president who’s going to restore law and order in the United States of America, not letting these criminals run, ransack over the stores that you see images of almost nightly. We need a president who’s going to restore world peace, as opposed to this outbreak of warfare under Joe Biden,” Abbott informed the assembly.
“We need Donald J. Trump back as our President of the United States of America. I’m here today to officially proclaim my endorsement for Donald J. Trump, the former and future President of the United States of America,” As he went on, the audience cheered and applauded enthusiastically.
The continuing issue at the southern border between Abbott and Biden. Over 6.5 million illegal immigrants have come into contact with border officers since January 2021.
Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, takes action against illegal immigration by ordering law enforcement to erect walls along the border with Mexico and mobilizing the Texas National Guard.
The Biden administration files a lawsuit against Texas to establish federal authority over border security.
“I’m here to tell you that there is no way, no way that America can continue under the leadership of Joe Biden as our president. We need a president who’s going to secure the border,” said Abbott on Sunday.
The former president promised to protect the border if re-elected, calling it “honored” to have Abbott’s support. “This meant a lot to me,” Trump said. “You’re not going to have to worry about the border anymore, governor … you’re not going to have to worry about the border in Texas or Arizona or anywhere else.”

Abbott and the former president team up to provide state border staff early Thanksgiving dinners.
Brandon Judd of the National Border Patrol Council commended President Trump for his support of Operation Lone Star, stating “he was willing to take a picture with every single person, even though his only staff was telling him not to.”

Governor Greg Abbott of Texas has endorsed Trump, joining an increasing number of other Republican leaders. Similar to Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas, Abbott offers his backing at a recent rally.

The time has come to return to the normal policies of the Trump era which created a safer, stronger, and more prosperous America, and that’s why I am proud to endorse Donald Trump for President,” Sanders said.
