House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) gives a strong support to former president Donald Trump. Scalise commends Trump for his economic achievements, which include a growing economy, lower interest rates, and reasonably priced living standards.
Scalise wrote on X, “I am proud to endorse Donald Trump for president in 2024, and I look forward to working with President Trump and a Republican House and Senate to fight for those families who are struggling under the weight of Biden’s failed policies.”

“When Donald Trump was President, American workers and families were thriving,” Scalise stated in a lengthy statement that Fox News Digital obtained. “The economy was strong and interest rates were low — grocery costs were affordable, and families could afford to buy a house and provide for their children.”
“The border was secure and crime was down. America had secure energy policies, keeping gas and utility prices low,” he continued. “Hardworking Americans are fed up — consumer sentiment fell to its lowest level ever under President Biden.”
“In Joe Biden’s America, our communities aren’t safe. American families and workers deserve a president who will stand up for them and their safety, rescue us from failed Bidenomics, and restore our nation to greatness.”
He finished, “In this race, there is one man who has a proven track record of being able to save our country and get us back on track: Donald Trump. He has done it once before, and I know he will do it again.”

Chitika continued, “Scalise’s main goal has always been promoting Trump’s unpopular agenda: He opposed the certification of the 2020 election, is determined to enact a nationwide abortion ban, and collaborated with Trump to attempt to remove Americans’ health care.”

Scalise has continuously backed President Trump’s policies, whether they pertain to immigration, healthcare, or tax reform. He was an important member of the House of Representatives who worked closely with the Trump administration on legislative initiatives. In addition to endorsing Trump’s program, Scalise, as the House Minority Whip, worked to unite Congress behind it.
