Recently, Belichick appeared on CBS Mornings to promote his newly released book, The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football. However, his young girlfriend managed to snatch the spotlight — and not for good reasons.
Host Tony Dokoupil tried to steer the conversation toward Belichick’s personal life, asking how he met Hudson. But before Belichick could answer, Hudson abruptly jumped in, saying, “we’re not talking about this.”
Pushed further about the swirling gossip, Belichick calmly replied, “I’ve never been too worried about what everybody else thinks. I just try to do what I feel like is what’s best for me and what’s right.”
Hudson’s aggressive behavior during the interview didn’t go unnoticed — especially by conservative firebrand Megyn Kelly. She didn’t hold back, blasting the dynamics between Belichick and Hudson in brutal fashion.
“He gives this interview, and now it’s starting to look much more like a Jill Biden situation,” Kelly remarked. “It’s all I could think of, it’s like she’s Dr. Jill on the sidelines, calling all the shots, and trying to decide what he can answer and what he can’t in this interview.”
Kelly went even further, slamming Hudson for “trying to dominate behind the scenes.”
In a surprising twist, Kelly actually praised CBS for exposing Hudson’s controlling antics. “She was trying to dominate behind the scenes, and [CBS] felt it was okay to include one of her interruptions just to be transparent that they had this monster on screen left who was completely trying to control them,” she said. “It was to the point where they didn’t feel like it would have journalistic integrity if they didn’t show at least some of it.”

Kelly wrapped up her commentary with a chilling observation: “I’m not sure we’re ever gonna get any answers, but she’s got major Dr. Jill vibes.”
Kelly noted that what truly caught her attention was Hudson’s intense defensiveness when the question of how they met came up — a red flag that only fueled the public’s curiosity.
Adding even more heat to the controversy, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy also weighed in. Sharing a clip from the interview, Portnoy wrote, “My Sunday morning routine is always coffee and ‘CBS Sunday Morning,’” making it clear he, too, found Hudson’s behavior during the segment to be bizarre and unsettling.
