Lee says she was suddenly confronted and attacked by three women she had never met before. The alleged assault left her with serious injuries, including head wounds that required staples, facial bruising, and injuries severe enough to require a neck brace.

Independent journalist Sarah Fields reported details of the case that have since spread widely online.
According to Fields, the attackers allegedly referenced convicted murderer Karmelo Anthony while carrying out the assault.
Lee reportedly stated that the women repeatedly yelled, “Free Karmelo!” during the attack.
Even more disturbing, Lee claimed the suspects boasted beforehand that they intended to target “the smallest white girl they could find.”
The alleged victim said she had absolutely no interaction with the women before the violence erupted.
According to Lee, she “never said a word to these girls,” and “never looked at them.”
Those statements have fueled concerns that the assault may have been racially motivated.
Law enforcement officials have already taken action.
Authorities arrested 21-year-old Ciarrianne Fuller of Longview earlier this week. She was booked into the Gregg County Jail in connection with the incident.
The two other suspects were later identified as 21-year-old Dejae Brown of Pittsburg and 21-year-old Alana Mumphrey of Longview. Both reportedly surrendered to authorities on Thursday.
According to CBS 19, all three women have been charged with assault causing bodily injury.
The case has generated significant public interest because of the alleged connection to Karmelo Anthony, whose murder conviction sparked intense debate across Texas and beyond.
Earlier this month, Anthony received a 35-year prison sentence after a jury found him guilty in the fatal stabbing of Austin Metcalf.
Metcalf, a 16-year-old athlete from Frisco, was killed during a championship track meet at Kuykendall Stadium in April 2025.
During trial proceedings, multiple witnesses testified that Anthony initiated the confrontation that ultimately ended in Metcalf’s death.
Although prosecutors could have sought a much longer sentence, Anthony received 35 years and will become eligible for parole after serving half that term.
Since the verdict was announced, reports have surfaced of individuals directing anger toward people they believed were connected to the jury process.
One widely discussed example involved a Jacksonville, Florida man known online as “Combak KidBoe.”
A video posted to social media allegedly showed the man riding through the city searching for individuals he believed were involved in jury selection.
The footage reportedly captured him confronting a white man who was sitting alone and not causing any disturbance.
After demanding to know why the man had participated in jury selection, KidBoe allegedly struck him in the face.
The incident quickly gained attention online and added to concerns about retaliatory behavior following the Anthony verdict.
Meanwhile, the Longview assault remains under investigation.
Authorities have not publicly announced whether additional charges could be filed or whether hate-crime allegations are being considered.
For Lee and her supporters, however, the attack has already become a symbol of what they see as a dangerous escalation from courtroom controversy to street-level violence.
As the legal process moves forward, many Texans will be watching closely to see whether investigators uncover further evidence regarding the suspects’ alleged motives and whether prosecutors pursue additional penalties based on the circumstances surrounding the attack.
