A document that might materially change the future of anchor Tucker Carlson is in the hands of Fox News.

Without giving a clear justification for the surprising action, Fox News fired longtime host Tucker Carlson.

Irena Briganti will lead a heated conflict at Fox News as it prepares for a fierce battle.

If Carlson were to openly oppose his departure or any perceived editorial swings towards more left-leaning viewpoints, Fox News apparently has a dossier of damning information ready to be utilized against him.

According to Rolling Stone:

According to eight persons with knowledge of the matter who spoke to Rolling Stone, Irena Briganti, who has long served as the head of Fox News’ communications department, has gathered negative information against Carlson. Two sources add that Fox is prepared to release some of its contents if executives believe Carlson is pursuing the network, and one knowledgeable source refers to it as a “oppo file.”

According to three of the sources, the file contains internal complaints about workplace conduct, insulting remarks about management and coworkers, and claims that the now-former primetime host fostered a hostile work environment.

Fox News made an effort to refute the report.

“This is patently absurd and categorically false,” a Fox News spokesman told Rolling Stone. “We thank Tucker for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

However, this behavior has a pattern on Fox News.

Leaked emails showed Fox News had slandered Bill O’Reilly in the press after his abrupt termination due to charges of sexual harassment, according to a devastating Daily Beast assessment published in 2018. This demonstrated the company’s careful planning, which prompted many detractors to criticize their conduct at such a crucial time.

Stuart Varney was a Fox News staffer who was the subject of false reports while he was still on the company’s payroll.

Col. Allan Briganti, editor-in-chief of the New York Post, was harshly criticized by a former Fox anchor for allegedly engaging in widespread media manipulation and nasty smear operations.

“Irena tries to keep a file on everybody . . . Any talent like Tucker would have a lot of things; other people complaining. They encourage it and then just keep it on file. It’s just a classic dirty trick,” according to the previous anchor, Rolling Stone.

Megyn Kelly complained about Ian Briganti’s treatment of former talent in 2017 on her NBC show. Her open critique of the subject garnered a lot of attention and sparked discussion.

By agreeing to pay the remaining balance of Tucker Carlson’s enormous $20 million per year deal, Fox News has made a significant commitment to him.

Fox is preventing any potential problem before it starts by not letting Carlson reveal the specifics of his dismissal.
