Floyd Link Found in Pipe Bomb Case!

One detail they are scrambling to ignore involves Cole’s father, Brian Cole Sr. While journalists rushed to speculate about Oath Keepers and “election deniers,” they failed to mention that Cole Sr. had a personal legal relationship with one of the most famous progressive civil rights attorneys in America — Ben Crump, the lawyer who represented George Floyd’s family.

According to the New York Post, Crump was hired by Cole Sr. in 2021 after prosecutors blocked the sale of his Tennessee bail-bond company. Crump’s team argued the obstruction occurred because the business was black owned.

As Crump’s office confirmed, “Ben Crump Law represented Brian Cole Sr. in late 2021 in a racial discrimination matter involving his Tennessee-based company, Free At Last Bail Bonding,” adding, “The engagement lasted less than a month.” They also clarified, “The firm has never represented his son Brian Cole Jr. in any legal matter.”

Even so, the connection raises uncomfortable questions that the media shows no interest in exploring. If even a hint of conservative associations existed, every cable host would be shouting about ideology, motive, and “dangerous political rhetoric.” Instead, reporters are tripping over themselves to pretend none of this matters.

For years, the press conditioned Americans to believe that anyone remotely connected to January 6 was part of a highly organized plot to overthrow the government. They painted trespassers as “treasonous seditionists,” declared the entire event a right-wing insurgency, and used it as a political weapon against half the country.

Yet when asked about Cole Jr.’s potential motive, networks suddenly turned into amnesia patients. Reporters shrugged. Analysts hedged. Some even floated vague suggestions that maybe it could still be a right wing plot.

The pattern is obvious. When a suspect fits the preferred narrative, the media dives into his social media, his reading habits, his high-school lunch menu. When he doesn’t, suddenly none of that is relevant. Suddenly context doesn’t matter. Suddenly journalists are far too principled to “speculate.”

But as the attention economy they built rages on, they can’t simply decide when political framing matters and when it doesn’t. Americans want to know why this man allegedly planted explosives outside major political headquarters, and they want to know what ideas, influences, and associations shaped him.

And from what is emerging, there is far more George Floyd, Ben Crump, and left-leaning activism around Cole’s orbit than anything tied to conservatives, militias, or Trump-aligned groups.

That doesn’t mean the media will dig into it. It just means the public will, because this story is not going away — no matter how badly the press wishes it would.
