A disturbing incident in Florida has renewed concerns about leftist-fueled political aggression after a 33-year-old woman was arrested for attacking an elderly Trump supporter—then allegedly assaulting a police officer—only to be released from jail within a day.
According to FOX 13 Tampa Bay, the suspect, Laura Elizabeth Garrett, confronted a 72-year-old man wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat at Northeast Park and Paw Place in Largo, Florida. What began as an aggressive interrogation over his political views quickly escalated into an outright physical attack.
Attacked Over a Hat
The elderly victim, whose name has not been released, became the target of what appears to be a politically motivated assault. Garrett reportedly demanded to know why the man supported former President Trump and pressed him with questions about his beliefs.
