Washington, D.C. — A bizarre scene unfolded Monday morning right outside the White House when a Secret Service SUV suddenly caught fire, sending plumes of smoke into the sky only hours before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s scheduled meeting with President Trump.
Eyewitnesses reported the fire broke out in the vehicle’s back seat, leading to an immediate law enforcement response and temporary street closures around the area. The burning SUV was parked near the corner of 18th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, just steps away from one of the most heavily guarded areas in the nation.
