John Fetterman is running scared. The once “progressive superstar” of Pennsylvania politics now finds himself clinging to a narrative that no one’s buying.
As the government shutdown loomed, Fetterman tried to paint himself as the reasonable voice in the room. He joined just one other Democrat in voting for a GOP proposal to reopen the government — after Senate Democrats had blocked similar House-passed bills a staggering eleven times.
When pressed about his vote, he told Sean Hannity he would vote “country over party” even if it costs him politically.
