The Pennsylvania Democrat torched former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, blaming her for the Democratic Party’s crushing defeats in the 2024 elections. In an explosive interview with Politico, Fetterman slammed Pelosi’s political maneuvering and accused her of shifting blame after the Democrats’ disastrous showing at the ballot box.
Fetterman didn’t mince words. When asked whether President Joe Biden should have stepped aside following his disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump, he pointed the finger squarely at Pelosi.

“People like [Nancy] Pelosi, she really tried to—what’s the word I’m looking for?—she embraced this ‘she’s the godmother, she’s the enforcer.’ And now she’s blaming Biden,” Fetterman said, making it clear who he holds responsible for the party’s implosion.
“Well, you can’t have it both ways. You got what you wanted,” he added, referencing how Biden was pushed aside to make way for Kamala Harris—only for Harris to face a brutal defeat. “And now you’re still blaming Biden.”
