According to federal officials, a large quantity of counterfeit Ozempic was confiscated on April 9, just days after drugmaker Novo Nordisk flagged suspicious activity. The fake products were being sold by unauthorized distributors under the radar of proper medical oversight.
“The FDA said it seized the counterfeit products – labeled with lot number PAR0362 and serial numbers starting with the first eight digits 51746517 – on April 9,” NBC News reported.
