Federal authorities have opened a major investigation after a suspicious hunting stand was discovered with a clear line of sight to Air Force One, raising serious concerns about security surrounding President Donald Trump. The alarming discovery has triggered an immediate response from both the FBI and the U.S. Secret Service.
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino confirmed the launch of the investigation during a live interview on Fox & Friends Monday morning. “This hunting stand was appropriately dismantled; it’s being flown to our lab — I believe it’s there right now. And all the forensic tools we have, from digital tools to biometric tools, they are all going to be applied to try to find out who put this up here and why,” Bongino explained.
The platform’s strategic placement—directly aligned with the President’s landing zone—has added to growing concerns about long-range threats. The discovery follows a troubling increase in sniper-related incidents targeting high-profile political figures.
Fox News host Lawrence Jones highlighted the danger, telling Bongino, “Mr. Deputy Director, big picture here… snipers have become a problem.”
