NBC host Jimmy Fallon is now confronting a reality that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. A cable comedy show on Fox News is pulling in far more viewers than The Tonight Show, the very program that defined late-night television for generations.

And Fallon himself reportedly summed up the situation in disbelief:
“This is the Tonight Show. It seems a little odd that more people watch something on Fox News.”

Cable vs Broadcast: A Stunning Upset

The numbers are not just surprising, they are overwhelming.

In March, Gutfeld! averaged 3.73 million viewers across just four episodes per week at 10 PM. Meanwhile, Fallon’s Tonight Show struggled to reach 1.35 million viewers over the same period.
