After a five-year court struggle, the names of about 150 people who the Miami Herald refers to as Epstein and Maxwell’s “recruiters, associates, and ‘affiliates'” will be made public.
Anticipate a dearth of surprises. The Herald claims that most of the names are already well-known to the general population.
“Most of the names set to be revealed are people associated with Epstein who are already publicly known, and it’s unclear whether the documents contain any new details about Epstein’s associations,” Wednesday, the source stated.
The names were ordered to be released on Monday by Senior U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska, but the actual distribution was postponed for two weeks so that anyone on the list may file an appeal.
An exciting update: In this situation, certain identities have been intentionally withheld! Two people who are unrelated to the case and who the court described as “classic outsiders” were mentioned. Another warned the court that if her identity were made public, she may face danger in “her home country”; the Herald is said to have pursued its efforts to get her name even farther.
Christine Walz, the Herald’s attorney, makes a compelling case for the disclosure of the final three names, arguing that there is no justification for their withholding.
“We are pleased that the court has decided to unseal information about more than 150 individuals,” Walz said. “Epstein and Maxwell’s abuses were shielded for far too long.

“The court concluded that three individuals who were ‘peripheral’ to the matter would remain sealed. We are evaluating that decision and continue to believe that all of the court files should be released,” She went on, ostensibly raising the prospect of filing an appeal to obtain the final three names.
The publication claims that 13 people “fought unsuccessfully” to remain off the list, but it doesn’t seem like anybody else tried. This suggests that the majority of the individuals are already well-known to be friends with either Epstein, Maxwell, or both.
Judge Preska has been releasing “thousands” of documents throughout the course of the litigation, although many of them have been heavily redacted. The lawsuit began in 2018. This next release is anticipated by the publication to have “limited redactions — and thus possibly [to] fill in some of the lingering questions about who helped Epstein.”
“Among those who tried unsuccessfully to keep their names redacted is Leslie Wexner, the former CEO of the Limited and Victoria’s Secret,” the Herald reported.
“Other Does expected to be unsealed include Prince Andrew, financier Glenn Dubin, modeling agent Jean Luc Brunel, who committed suicide in a French prison; and people who worked as butlers, housekeepers or recruiters for Epstein,” it added.
It will be fascinating to see what more secrets may be found amongst so many well-known people.
