Elon Musk and Stephen King engaged in a humorous discussion over the Ukraine on Twitter on Sunday, amusing their followers.
King tweeted his displeasure about receiving a “blue check” for verification despite never signing up for Twitter Blue. “My Twitter account says I’ve subscribed to Twitter Blue. I haven’t. My Twitter account says I’ve given a phone number. I haven’t,” King tweeted.
LeBron James and King, two of Elon Musk’s well-known buddies, had their Twitter accounts verified thanks to Elon Musk’s kind donation. Both are now acknowledged to have verified accounts that are reliable.

King made the decision to use Musk’s reaction as an occasion to critique and virtue signal. “I think Mr. Musk should give my blue check to charity,” King wrote in another tweet. “I recommend the Prytula Foundation, which provides lifesaving services in Ukraine. It’s only $8, so perhaps Mr. Musk could add a bit more.”
Musk responded by burning King in a spectacular way. “I’ve donated $100M to Ukraine, how much have you donated?”
In a fiery response, Musk cited statements made by Ukraine’s Digital Minister Mykhailo Fedorov praising him for his kind collaboration with Starlink to offer internet access.
Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, also expressed gratitude to Musk for his assistance. Talked to @elonmusk. I’m grateful to him for supporting Ukraine with words and deeds. Next week we will receive another batch of Starlink systems for destroyed cities. Discussed possible space projects. But I’ll talk about this after the war.”
