In a message that rattled the political world over the weekend, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino took to social media to deliver a disturbing warning: there’s a deep-rooted corruption running through America’s most powerful institutions — and it’s far worse than the public realizes.
Posting from his official account on “X,” Bongino delivered a statement that many are now calling a clarion call for transparency. The longtime law enforcement official painted a grim picture of what he’s uncovered behind the scenes, calling it “shocking” and a threat to the very foundation of the republic.
“During my tenure here as the Deputy Director of the FBI, I have repeatedly relayed to you that things are happening that might not be immediately visible, but they are happening,” Bongino wrote. “The Director and I are committed to stamping out public corruption and the political weaponization of both law enforcement and intelligence operations. It is a priority for us. But what I have learned in the course of our properly predicated and necessary investigations into these aforementioned matters, has shocked me down to my core. We cannot run a Republic like this. I’ll never be the same after learning what I’ve learned.”
