Drug-Laced Haribo? Entire Stock Recalled!

One of the world’s most iconic candy brands is facing serious backlash after a disturbing discovery in its products. Haribo, best known for its gummy bears and cola-shaped sweets, is scrambling to contain a crisis after several bags of its candy were found laced with drugs in the Netherlands — and children were among the victims.

The controversy exploded after multiple members of a Dutch family fell ill following the consumption of Haribo’s “Happy Cola F!ZZ” gummies. The symptoms were more than a sugar rush. “Dizziness,” according to Dutch authorities, was one of the initial red flags. That’s when the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) stepped in — and what they found triggered alarm bells.

Tests confirmed the presence of cannabis in the tainted candy. Yes, cannabis — in bags that were marketed and sold as harmless treats.

“The situation goes beyond simple health complaints,” a spokesperson for the agency warned. “We immediately contacted Haribo, which issued a safety warning.”
