Collins invited Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins (no relation) to press him about the now-infamous Signal chat fiasco involving Trump administration officials. The goal was clear: drive a wedge between the VA Secretary and Trump’s national security team. Instead, the tables got turned—hard.

As previously reported, left-wing Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg claimed he was “accidentally” added to a secure Signal group by Trump ally and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz. That chat reportedly involved discussions about potential military actions against Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Rather than doing the responsible thing and exiting the chat, Goldberg snooped around, took screenshots, and ran to leak it—claiming they were “war plans.”
