For years, Donald Trump warned that dismantling America’s coal plants and sidelining natural gas would send utility bills through the roof. Critics laughed. Activists cheered. Regulators pushed ahead.

Now the numbers are in.
According to newly released federal data, electricity prices nationwide climbed 6.3% compared to a year ago. Inflation overall? Just 2.4%. In other words, power bills are rising at more than double the general rate of inflation.
And the states suffering the worst increases share one glaring similarity: aggressive green energy mandates.
