Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has made a bombshell revelation, exposing the existence of what he calls “magic money computers” within the U.S. government that are issuing payments “out of thin air” without congressional oversight.
Musk dropped the explosive details on Monday during an appearance on Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s podcast, alleging that at least 14 of these secretive computers operate within the U.S. Treasury and other federal agencies. The billionaire claimed these computers are responsible for massive, unaccounted-for transactions that can cause department budgets to be off by as much as 5%—a number Cruz suggested could amount to trillions of dollars.

“They’re mostly at Treasury,” Musk disclosed, “but there’s some at [Health and Human Services], there’s one or two at State, there’s some at [the Department of Defense].”
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO, now working within the government under President Trump’s administration, described the alarming system as one that makes it nearly impossible for lawmakers to know the true level of federal spending.
