“Well, again, I think the plan right now is working in four parts,” Booker stated.
The senator attempted to outline what he sees as the key components of the Democrats’ strategy. First, he claimed there is a “legal strategy” aimed at blocking Trump from taking actions that he argues violate the law.
“We see 41 cases being taken, 10 of them last week, 12 of them, excuse me, were successful in stopping some of his illegal actions,” he said.
Booker then pivoted to discussing the Democrats’ legislative and oversight efforts, suggesting that their goal is to “expose” Trump’s actions.
“The next is a legislative and oversight effort to really try to expose it, not to treat this as Democrat versus Republican, right or left, but really right or wrong and continue to try to use our positions procedurally as well as legislatively to stop what he’s doing,” he claimed.
However, the reality paints a very different picture. Trump continues to gain momentum, rallying massive crowds and winning legal battles that Democrats had hoped would hinder his campaign. Yet, Booker insists that the fight against him is effective.
Perhaps the most bizarre part of his response came when he argued that shining a light on Trump’s plans is what will ultimately stop him.

“Then finally, perhaps most importantly, because all of us have to have a role, from the media to everyday citizens, which is shining a light on the dark corners of what they’re doing and how it is actually endangering Americans’ lives, is threatening to raise the cost of people’s everyday goods and inflation and more,” Booker concluded.

This statement ignores the reality that under President Biden, inflation has already skyrocketed, everyday goods have become unaffordable for many Americans, and public safety has deteriorated. Booker’s desperate attempt to blame Trump for economic and social issues that have unfolded under Democrat leadership shows just how out of touch the left has become.
Despite Booker’s claims, the American people seem to be turning their backs on the Democratic strategy. Poll after poll indicates that voters are not buying the attacks against Trump. Instead, they are rallying around him, fueled by frustration over the current administration’s failures.
Booker’s CNN appearance did little to convince anyone that Democrats have a winning strategy. If anything, it highlighted the growing panic within their party as Trump continues to surge toward the 2024 election.
