After a tense standoff and weeks of halted flights, deportations to Venezuela have officially resumed—thanks to the Trump administration’s no-nonsense approach to foreign policy and national security. A plane carrying nearly 200 illegal immigrants touched down in Venezuela on Sunday, signaling that America is back in charge of its own borders.

After taking heat for the pause in deportations, the administration responded with swift, hardline action—cutting off oil revenue and putting real pressure on Venezuela’s socialist regime.

The reason for the halt? Venezuela’s socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro threw a tantrum earlier this month after President Trump revoked Chevron’s permit to export Venezuelan oil. The decision stripped Maduro’s regime of a major source of income—and in return, he pulled the plug on accepting deportees. But Trump wasn’t about to let that slide.
