A Democratic state representative finds himself at the center of a legal firestorm after an alleged scandal over the weekend. Daniel Grossberg, a Kentucky lawmaker representing parts of Louisville, has come under scrutiny after reportedly being kicked out of a local strip club following inappropriate behavior toward several of the club’s employees.
According to a report by the New York Post, Grossberg allegedly offered $5,000 for sexual favors and groped another dancer when his initial advances were rejected. Bouncers at the strip club, known as Foxy, were said to have forcibly removed the lawmaker, who was then banned from returning. “He was calling girls all kinds of names,” said Milford Renfrow, the club’s co-owner, in a statement to the Lexington Herald-Leader. “Disrespecting the girls and grabbing them.”

The scandal has only deepened the already simmering tensions between Grossberg and his fellow Democrats in Kentucky. The 45-year-old lawmaker, who is reportedly married, is said to have regularly visited the club. Over the weekend, Grossberg’s behavior escalated, with accusations that he tried to use his position of power to intimidate the dancers. “You don’t know who I am,” Grossberg allegedly shouted as security escorted him from the premises. The lawmaker reportedly even threatened to shut down the venue, saying, “I could shut this place down.”
