Dem. Governor’s Shocking Move: Dumps Hundreds in Black Community!

Recently, Massachusetts Democrats decided to turn a leisure facility in an area of Boston that is primarily black into a homeless and immigrant refuge.

The Associated Press said on Wednesday that the Cass Recreational Complex in Boston’s Roxbury district, which used to be a hangout for neighborhood kids, will no longer be used for that purpose.

The complex will be repurposed by Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, who want to house up to 400 people, including unauthorized immigrants.

The city’s leisure facility has been converted into an improvised hotel complete with cots for overnight guests.

“We’re here today because we really don’t have a choice,” Healey said. “Families continue to come into this country, continue to come to Massachusetts, and we have over the last several months opened up locations throughout the state.”

According to the AP, the Roxbury facility, which is located in the historically black area of Boston, joins the ranks of Cambridge, Quincy, and Revere as the fourth family shelter run by the state.

Many Roxbury residents are outraged with the moves taken by their neighborhood leaders, according to WBZ-TV.

A father told the station that he had no idea what will happen to the Roxbury children who depend on the recreation facility for stability.

One frequent visitor, a young youngster, told WBZ that the facility seemed like a second home to him.

The child’s relocation and the relocation of others in the neighborhood did not seem to worry Boston’s far-left mayor, though she acknowledged Roxbury had historically been a community that had been compelled to “sacrifice.”

“This is not the first time the community has been asked to sacrifice, over and over again,” Wu said.

She did not provide any details, just saying that she would continue to consider “all options” to assist the displaced youngsters.

Tony Darocha, the track coach, who practices at the facility, stated “We have kids who are also impacted negatively and our program is one of the only few stable times in their lives.”

According to WBZ, the shelter is expected to close in June, thus Roxbury residents won’t be able to use their leisure facility again until then.

Authorities from the state and the community promised to repair the center’s infrastructure in exchange for housing.
