Federal law enforcement in New Jersey has just wrapped up a sweeping operation that netted hundreds of alleged criminals, in what officials are hailing as a major strike against violent crime—and proof that, even amid political chaos, law and order still matters.
Acting New Jersey District Attorney Alina Habba, who recently took the reins and is known nationally for her high-profile legal ties to President Donald Trump, stood front and center as authorities unveiled the massive results of “Operation Apex Hammer.” Over 260 fugitives were hauled off the streets, including violent gang members, alleged murderers, and illegal immigrants accused of sex crimes and attacks against children.
The numbers paint a stark picture. Officials reported that 264 suspects were captured statewide during the operation, many of them carrying long criminal rap sheets. Collectively, the arrested individuals had amassed an astonishing 2,625 prior arrests, averaging nearly ten each—a figure that underscores how deeply entrenched some criminals are in repeat offenses.
