As a staffer on the House Intelligence Committee, Patel helped reveal the flaws in the Russian collusion narrative, which he later detailed in his book, Government Gangsters. The book directly names those Patel believes have undermined government transparency and accountability, making him a controversial but strategic choice to lead the FBI.
