The battle to replace outgoing Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) may be about to get a major shakeup. According to fresh reports, conservative commentator and Trump ally Scott Jennings is seriously considering jumping into the race — a move that could completely change the dynamics of the Republican primary.
Jennings, who has become a familiar face on CNN defending President Trump, made his intentions crystal clear last week. “If the president wants me, I’ll run,” Jennings told a reporter at an afterparty following the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C.
