It was a total meltdown on CNN when fitness icon and former Democrat Jillian Michaels refused to join the Left’s endless crusade to paint every chapter of history through the lens of race. The network’s race-baiting panel seemed completely unprepared for someone on set to push back—and Michaels did so with facts, confidence, and zero apologies.
For context, the Trump administration has launched a sweeping review of the Smithsonian Institution ahead of America’s 250th birthday next year. The plan is to ensure our national museums highlight “the unity, progress, and enduring values that define the American story”—not partisan talking points disguised as history.
Michaels appeared on a CNN segment alongside Democrat strategist Julie Roginsky, Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY), Republican strategist Scott Jennings, and host Abby Phillip. The discussion quickly went off the rails when Michaels dismantled the Left’s favorite script: boil everything down to “white people bad.”
The fireworks started when Roginsky accused conservatives of trying to “whitewash” the past to placate the “MAGA base.” Michaels immediately pushed back, pointing out that reviewing exhibits for bias is not erasing history—it’s removing political propaganda from taxpayer-funded institutions.
