CNN Analyst Just Exposed the Dems!

The evidence Enten cited painted a picture of political devastation for Democrats. According to The Wall Street Journal, the party is now 30 points underwater in its net favorability. CNN’s own poll didn’t fare any better—26 points underwater. Gallup? The same story: 26 points underwater.

“Record lows in all three,” Enten emphasized, highlighting how historically bad the situation has become for a party that once boasted of having an unbeatable coalition.

But Enten wasn’t finished. He took the analysis a step further, describing the Democratic Party’s internal chaos with a stinging analogy:

“Messier than a hoarder’s basement.”

Heading into the 2028 presidential cycle, the Democratic machine is falling apart—and even their own media allies are being forced to admit it.

The conversation turned toward 2028 when Bolduan asked about Vice President Kamala Harris and her possible plans to run for president again. Harris had just taken herself out of the running for California Governor, sparking speculation that she was eyeing a bigger prize.

But Enten wasn’t buying it—not even close.

“Hold your horses here,” he warned. “The chance that Kamala Harris is going to be the 2028 Democratic nominee, they don’t look too good right now to be perfectly honest with you.”

The betting odds back him up.

Gavin Newsom leads the field with 20%, followed by socialist darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at 15%. Pete Buttigieg clocks in at 9%, and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro sits at 6%.

And Harris? She’s tied for fourth—with just 6%.

“If you have any ideas that Kamala Harris is passing up a potential Gubernatorial run for 2026 in California and perhaps would be trading up for a Presidential bid, the betting markets at this point, simply put, do not buy it,” Enten said.

Enten’s most damning observation wasn’t just about Harris—it was what her poor polling says about the party overall. Unlike previous cycles, Democrats now face a total vacuum of leadership.

Joe Biden was polling over 25% at this point in the 2020 race. Hillary Clinton hit that threshold in both 2008 and 2016. Even Al Gore did so in 2000 and 2004.

But in 2025? “There is no one – no one in the Democratic race for President who’s polling at 25 percent plus,” Enten stressed.

That should terrify the DNC.

He even joked that “the water is quite warm if you’re a Democrat potentially thinking about running in 2028, jump right in,” because there’s no clear leader. But that’s not a good sign—it’s an unmistakable red flag.

A leaderless party is a fractured party.

The core of the crisis isn’t just the polling data. It’s where the discontent is coming from. It’s not only independents or Republicans dragging down Democrats—it’s their own voters.

“That is being driven in large part by discontent within the Democratic base,” Enten said. “The Democratic base wants something different.”

That internal division is tearing the party apart. If Democrats lean toward the radical base, they lose the moderates. If they try to reclaim the center, they risk alienating the far-left activists who now dominate the party.

It’s a lose-lose situation.

The once-cocky party that thought it had “demographics as destiny” now can’t even find someone who can unite their fractured base. They don’t have a frontrunner. They don’t have a message. They don’t even have a clear direction.

“Nobody wants to put anybody up at the top of their ballot list is because at this particular point, the Democratic brand is in the basement,” Enten concluded.

And in a final flourish of sarcasm, Enten added, “We’ll ultimately end up seeing who they choose. It will be quite the thing, who ultimately gets the rose.”

After years of painting Donald Trump as the downfall of democracy, it turns out the Democrat Party’s biggest threat may be staring right back at them in the mirror.

Their brand is collapsing. Their voters are frustrated. And their bench looks weaker than ever.

If this is the best they can offer in 2028, America might just be witnessing the beginning of a political extinction event—one that not even CNN can spin away.
