The walls may be closing in on Bill and Hillary Clinton as House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer makes it crystal clear—dodging a congressional subpoena about their ties to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein will not end well.
The once-buried Epstein saga has exploded back into public view. Just last month, outrage swept through conservative circles after a Department of Justice memo revealed it had no list of Epstein’s clients—and had no plans to release additional records. Many saw it as another example of powerful elites being shielded from accountability.
Frustration among Americans—especially Trump supporters—has been boiling over. Calls for transparency have grown louder, with many pushing for grand jury transcripts from the trial of Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell, as well as unsealed records from Epstein’s case, which abruptly ended in 2019 when he died before standing trial.
On Tuesday, Comer turned up the heat. In a statement posted to the Oversight Committee’s website, he revealed that a slew of high-profile figures had been formally subpoenaed to disclose any and all dealings with Epstein.
