There was controversy in the Netherlands when a fight broke out amongst left-wingers. Greta Thunberg, a climate activist, made waves during her address by inviting Muslim immigrants and drawing attention to the situation in Israel. An angry audience member stormed the stage and grabbed Thunberg’s microphone, taking matters into their own hands.
When Thunberg asked the ladies to speak, she was addressing a sizeable rally throng in Amsterdam, the Dutch city. “As a climate justice movement, we have to listen to the voices of those who are being oppressed and those who are fighting for freedom and for justice. Otherwise, there can be no climate justice without international solidarity,” Thunberg said.

Following the speeches by the Afghan and Palestinian refugees, a guy approached the platform and made an attempt to seize Thunberg’s microphone. “I have come here for a climate demonstration, not a political view,” Before a group of rally attendees began to escort him away, the man spoke.
After a little silence, Thunberg remarked, “Calm down.” As soon as the man left the platform, Thunberg started chanting, “no climate justice on occupied land!” with the assembly.

A number of political figures also spoke, including Frans Timmermans, the former head of the European Union’s climate policy. “We live in a time of crises, all of which are the result of the political choices that have been made. It has to be done and it can be done differently,” Climate Crisis Coalition, the event organizer, stated in a statement.
