For decades, rock concerts have been a place where Americans gather to enjoy music, forget about politics, and spend a few hours with friends and family. But one legendary rock band may have learned a hard lesson this week after turning a celebratory moment into a political confrontation.

The Florida crowd responded exactly as many American audiences would. Fans enthusiastically broke into chants of “USA! USA!” in what appeared to be a spontaneous display of national pride.
