In a startling revelation that raises serious red flags about national security and foreign influence, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has taken a convicted Chinese agent into custody—right from the quiet suburbs of New Jersey.
On March 24, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Newark arrested 61-year-old Ming Xi Zhang, a Chinese national who had been hiding in plain sight in Montgomery Township. Zhang, also known by the strange alias “Sushi John,” is now in ICE custody and awaiting deportation proceedings.

Authorities say Zhang originally entered the U.S. legally back in June 2000 via Los Angeles International Airport. But what began as a lawful visit turned into something much darker. Zhang’s legal status unraveled after he violated the terms of his admission and became entangled in federal crimes tied directly to Communist China.
