US President Joseph Biden recently addressed the Canadian parliament, and inadvertently hailed China for their leadership in combating climate change rather than the genuine hero of the hour, Canada. The internet was buzzing about this slip of the tongue, and many people were perplexed as to how such an error could have happened. The President, who is in his 80s, recently made the error of confusing China and Canada during a speech. This happened when he neglected to mention China’s role in fentanyl trafficking. In the midst of the uncertainty, the President praised Canada for taking in more immigrants from Latin American nations as part of an agreement whereby the US would assist Canada in deporting people who entered the country illegally.

The error happened shortly after Biden completely avoided mentioning China when talking about fentanyl, which is mostly shipped from Chinese labs and has global roots and is shipped from abroad. Although he did not say where the supplies were coming from, Biden expressly mentioned Mexico as a frequent stopover on the way to the US.“We’re tackling the scourge of synthetic drugs that are devastating Canada and American communities, particularly our young people.
