The political left found a new low this week, attempting to twist a brutal terrorist ambush on two National Guard members into an attack on President Trump. But the effort didn’t survive long. White House Communications Director Steven Cheung shut it down with one blistering response that instantly went viral.
The outrage began after authorities confirmed that 29-year-old Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal carried out a close-range ambush on two West Virginia National Guard members stationed in Washington DC. Both soldiers were targeted without warning, leaving the nation stunned by the ferocity and timing of the attack.
Investigators later confirmed that Lakanwal entered the United States in September 2021, during the chaotic aftermath of Joe Biden’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. He overstayed his visa and remained inside the country illegally at the time of the shooting. Even more disturbing, records show he had previously worked with the CIA as part of a partnered force in Kandahar.
