President Trump’s tough-on-illegal-immigration policies just made headlines again — and this time, they landed squarely in the lap of one of his biggest critics.
CBS anchor and noted Trump-basher Norah O’Donnell, along with her husband Geoff Tracy, had a rude awakening on Tuesday. ICE agents descended on Tracy’s Washington, D.C., restaurant, Chef Geoff’s, in a major sweep targeting illegal workers.
According to FOX 5 DC, ICE agents entered Chef Geoff’s around 10:30 A.M., demanding to inspect all I-9 employment eligibility forms. The sudden visit threw the staff into disarray, with panic rippling through the restaurant during the 90-minute operation. Despite the chaos, no arrests were made before the agents left.
And Chef Geoff’s wasn’t the only target. The New York Post reported that ICE agents hit at least eight other D.C. hotspots the same day. Popular spots like Officina, Mi Vida, Jaleo, Santa Rosa Taqueria, Pupatella, Call Your Mother, Clyde’s, and Millie’s were also part of the sweep.
