Brutal Truth About Steve Kerr Just Came Out!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

The Associated Press quoted Kerr saying, *”It’s just a reminder to me that these shootings continue to happen and there is something we can do about them.”*¹

He added, *”The loss that all of the people involved last night, the loss that they’re feeling, it’s exactly the same loss as all the Parkland families, and every other mass shooting.”*²

California’s Gun Control Failures Remain Ignored

Kerr has become one of the NBA’s most vocal gun control advocates, especially after the 2022 Uvalde elementary school shooting.

Following that tragedy, he delivered an emotional plea demanding action from Congress on universal background checks, saying, *”When are we going to do something! I’m tired, I’m so tired of getting up here and then offering condolences to the devastated families that are out there, and I’m so tired of the moments of silence. Enough!”*³

Weeks later, Kerr continued pressing for nationwide adoption of universal background checks, claiming California proves these measures are effective.

Here’s the inconvenient reality Kerr conveniently ignores: California already enforces every gun control measure he advocates — and the results are disastrous.

California’s “Gun Control Experiment” Has Failed

The Golden State has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation: universal background checks for all purchases, a 10-day waiting period, bans on “assault weapons” and high-capacity magazines, and licensing and registration requirements for gun owners.

Yet the FBI reported that California led the entire country in active shooter incidents from 2020-2024, recording 25 events during that five-year span.⁴

This data completely contradicts Kerr’s central claim that California-style gun control can prevent mass shootings.

Kerr’s Pattern: Using Tragedy to Push Policy

This isn’t the first time Kerr has exploited tragedy to promote his political beliefs. After the Uvalde shooting, he criticized Congress for failing to pass universal background checks and touted California as proof that these measures work — even though the state already had every policy he called for.

The FBI statistics are unambiguous: California led the nation in active shooter incidents from 2020-2024 with 25 events.⁵

This five-year pattern underscores the failure of California’s gun control framework to prevent the very violence Kerr claims these laws will stop.

Millionaire Coaches Shouldn’t Lecture Everyday Americans

Steve Kerr lives in the secure bubble of professional sports, protected by arena security, metal detectors, armed guards, and private neighborhood patrols. Yet he lectures ordinary Americans about surrendering their constitutional right to self-defense.

The data couldn’t be clearer: more gun control does not equal more safety. Too often, law-abiding citizens are left defenseless while criminals flout the rules.

Kerr can continue advocating for California-style policies, but the evidence is undeniable: his favored gun control measures have failed spectacularly at stopping mass shootings.
