Syrian President Ahmed al Sharaa, once known globally as Abu Mohammed al Jolani, sat across from Fox News anchor Bret Baier in a high profile interview following his meeting at the White House. When asked directly about the September 11 attacks that killed nearly 3 thousand Americans in New York City, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania, al Sharaa refused to show even basic remorse.
He insisted he had nothing to do with the terror plot, saying “I was only 19 years old, so I was a very young person, and I didn’t have any decision making power at that time, and I don’t have anything to do with it” and added “And al Qaeda was not present right then in my area. So you’re speaking to the wrong person about this subject.”
